Alright David, thought I'd catch up so I searched for Sichuan Witch and guess what I found. Give us an e-mail "duncan_angus@hotmail.com" to let me know what you're up to. Coming to the end of the first term now, man I'm busy. Seen that Song had posted as well, so I need to get his and Zheng's e-mails as well! Sat 27-Nov-2004 18:57

Uig is a village on Skye and Lochaber is the district my hometown is in. I'm not too sure what the words actually mean.

Aonach Eagach Ridge, Glencoe

Can you see Ossian's cave?

I've been travelling around the highlands a fair bit recently. These pictures are from Glencoe which is a large valley (famous for it scenery and a massacre that occured here about 300 years ago) about 20 miles South of my hometown Fort William.Glencoe means "Valley of Weeping" and today is almost unihabited (though a famous British TV presenter Jimmy Savile lives there). The Aonach Eagach is a ridge along the tops of the mountains on one side of Glencoe. Luckily we got really good weather for climbing.

sounds really cool moko--would love to go --maybe next time Tue 10-Aug-2004 21:11

I passed through Glencoe yesterday in glorious sunshine. Despite this it still had an air pf mystery about it!

The cave is even more impressive from the viewing points on the floor of Glencoe. Looks very broody and dark

Hi David, I'm Kapa, you left a message on my blog. I'd be happy to see the photos, and I haven't been to Sichuan yet. I went to college in Hangzhou, and now living with my parents in Wenzhou. Scotland will be a lfie really new to me, I believe you must have felt the same way before you came to China. Let's hang out sometime. Wed 28-Jul-2004 16:06

Chinese Propaganda Park near Juizhaighou

View all 5 photos...
The town close to Juzhaighou airport was an important stop on the communsit party's Long March. To commemerate that there is a park of communist propaganda statues at the end of the town. Looks a bit incongrous amongst the monutanins, flags and temples. I was there on children's day so you can see lots of families taking picnics around the statues.

Care to comment?
